Guide 5 of 10
Find your gym crew
Follow requests, who is at the gym right now, and the timeline of what your friends are training.
Ratz is a social app first. The workout tracking is good, but the reason to keep opening it is knowing who else is in the building.
Who you can see
The Social tab shows the members of your gym, the one set on your profile. That keeps the list relevant instead of showing you strangers on another continent.
To find someone at a different gym, use Add by handle and type their exact handle. It is the only way to reach across gyms, which is deliberate: it means nobody can browse for you.
Follow requests are double opt-in
Tap Follow and the other person gets a request. Nothing is shared until they tap Accept. You will see Requested until they do. Incoming requests wait for you under Follow Requests on the Social tab and in your notifications, where you can Accept or Decline.
This runs both ways. Someone following you does not automatically mean you follow them back.
At the gym now
The At the gym now list shows which members are mid-workout, what they are training, and, if they have connected Spotify, the track they are listening to. It updates live, so it is a genuine answer to “is anyone there right now?”
You can drop out of this list any time. Profile → Privacy & Visibility → Gym Visibility hides you from at gym now while everything else keeps working.
The timeline
Timeline collects finished workouts from everyone you follow: what they trained, how long it took, how it went. Tap the heart to like one. It is a small thing that turns out to matter on the days someone is deciding whether to go.
Bring people with you
Invite friends via WhatsApp shares a link with your handle already attached, so whoever joins can add you without typing anything.
