Guide 1 of 10

Log your first workout

Check in at your gym, pick what you are training, and let Ratz time the session for you.

Everything in Ratz starts with a check-in. It tells your gym crew you are training, starts your session timer, and puts the workout in your history once you finish.

Check in

Open the Gym tab and tap Start your workout. The check-in screen opens with your gym already selected, so most days you can go straight past it.

To train somewhere else, tap the gym name at the top. It opens two choices: your gym, or Home workout. A home workout counts exactly the same for your streak and your stats.

Your gym is set on your profile rather than chosen per session, so if you have moved, change it under Profile → Change Gym.

Tapping the location row opens the only two options: your gym, or a home workout.

Pick what you are training

Ratz asks What are you training today? Tap the muscle groups you plan to hit: chest, back, legs, whatever the session is. You can pick more than one, and you can add more later without losing your place.

These become your target exercises for the session. They are also what your crew sees on the timeline, so people at the gym know what you are working on.

Start the timer

Tap Let’s go! and the workout is live. The timer keeps running when you leave the app, lock your phone, or switch to your music, so put it in your pocket and lift.

Finish

When you are done, press and hold Hold to Finish. The hold is deliberate: it means a pocket tap can never end your session by accident.

Ratz then asks two quick questions:

  • How intense was it?: a quick rating that feeds your average intensity stat.
  • Notes: optional. Good for how a lift felt, or what to try next time.

Two things worth knowing:

  • Workouts under 5 minutes are not saved. It keeps accidental check-ins out of your history and off your streak.
  • If you forget to finish, Ratz auto-finishes at 2 hours so a session left running overnight does not distort your stats.

That is a complete workout. Do it again tomorrow and you have a streak going.
