Guide 2 of 10

Track sets, reps and weight

Log 90+ exercises in detailed or simplified mode, and watch your personal records climb.

Checking in tracks that you trained. Logging exercises tracks what you actually lifted, which is what turns Ratz into a progress record instead of an attendance sheet.

Add an exercise

During a live workout, tap Add Exercise and pick from the library of over 90 exercises, grouped by the muscle groups you selected at check-in.

Most of them carry an animated demonstration behind the icon, which is worth a look before your first set of anything unfamiliar. See how an exercise is done covers it.

Choose how much you want to log

Ratz has two logging modes. Set yours in Profile → App Settings → Exercise Logging:

  • Detailed: log every set individually with reps and weight. The right choice if you care about progressive overload and want a full history of each session.
  • Simplified: log the exercise and your top set only. Faster between sets, and still enough to track your bests.

Neither is permanent. Switch whenever you like. Old workouts keep whatever detail you logged at the time.

Log a set

Tap Log Set, enter your reps and weight, and save. In detailed mode each set is numbered as you go. In simplified mode you log the single best set of the exercise.

Weight is in kg or lbs depending on Profile → App Settings → Weight Unit, and decimal entry accepts either a comma or a period.

Personal records

Ratz watches three records for every exercise:

  • Heaviest: your best single-set weight
  • Most reps: your highest rep count
  • Est. 1RM: your estimated one-rep max, calculated from weight and reps

Beat one during a workout and a NEW badge appears on the spot. Your full list lives in Profile → All-time PRs, and Exercise Progress charts any single lift over time so you can see whether the last two months actually moved anything.
