Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Ratz, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app. Ratz is operated by We6 Oy.
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Ratz. By using the app, you represent that you meet this requirement.
Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You are identified within Ratz by your handle (username) — we do not collect or display real names. You agree to:
- Provide a valid email address when creating your account
- Choose a handle that does not impersonate another person or contain offensive language
- Keep your login credentials secure and not share them with others
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose
- Harass, bully, or intimidate other users
- Post inappropriate, offensive, or misleading content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts
- Interfere with or disrupt the app's functionality
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
- Use automated systems or bots to interact with the app
Content Ownership
You retain ownership of any content you submit (workout notes, profile information). By posting content, you grant Ratz a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display that content within the app to other users as part of normal app functionality (e.g., your profile visible to followers, workout activity shared with gym members).
Workout Data
Ratz records workout check-ins, muscle groups trained, workout duration, and streak data. This data is used to provide app features such as your workout history, streak tracking, and social features like the leaderboard. You can view your data in your profile at any time.
Third-Party Integrations
Ratz integrates with third-party services to enhance your experience:
- Spotify: if you connect your Spotify account, your currently-playing track is shown during workouts. Ratz does not control Spotify's service and is not responsible for Spotify content.
- Apple Health / Health Connect: if you enable health sync, completed workouts are written to your device's health platform. This data stays on your device and is not sent to our servers.
Account Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from within the app. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking action, except in cases of severe or repeated violations.
Future Paid Features
Ratz is currently free to use. We may introduce optional paid features or subscriptions in the future. Any payments will be processed by Stripe. We will never retroactively charge for features that were previously free without your explicit consent.
Disclaimer
Ratz is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for any injuries that may occur during workouts. Always consult a qualified fitness professional before starting any exercise program. Ratz does not provide medical or fitness advice.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, We6 Oy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Ratz. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (if any).
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Finland, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
